Our entire careers have been devoted to telling stories. As former journalists turned PR professionals, we have more than 40 years of combined experience in the media. We know what makes a good story, and more importantly, we know how to make sure the right people see it.

Paula Young

Former health editor of the Birmingham Mail, Paula Young has worked in PR for more than 14 years. In 2012, Paula decided to explore her love of video and undertook an MA in broadcast journalism at Staffordshire University.

After filming and editing documentaries on bowel cancer and teenage smoking, Paula graduated with distinction and used her new filmmaking skills to help promote Cancer Research UK’s work.

Since then, she has created online videos for businesses and taught others how to shoot and edit professional videos using nothing more than a mobile phone.

Using a JVC™ GY HM600 video camera, her work has appeared on ITV™ regional news, on the Made In Birmingham local TV channel and on charity websites.

Gary young

Gary Young

Gary Young is an experienced press and public relations officer who has worked in the NHS™, transport and charity sectors. He has a wealth of experience in crisis management and reputation management as well as maintaining good public and stakeholder relations and producing reports and media plans.

Working as a journalist previously, he undertook just about every role in the modern newsroom from reporting, sub-editing and editing, and page planning to managing a news website and running live webchats and blogs.

More than 20 years in newspaper journalism gave him an eye for design, crafting stories, and creating attention-grabbing headlines. In 2011, he became an online journalist for Trinity Mirror newsgroup where he learned to use social media effectively as well as SEO techniques and web analytics to boost coverage.

Retraining in video to further develop his passion, Gary has also helped to create numerous charity videos online.
